Maintenance Supply Points (MSP) are spare parts for your ships. They are produced in factories and are needed by ships to repair malfunctioning components. If not enough MSP are available on the ship, the component is broken.
The more Engineering Sections you put on a ship, the more supplies it carries. They also lower the breakdown rate. It is recommended to have at least one ship in a fleet carry an extra amount of MSP in Maintenance Storage Bays.
MSP can be manually transferred from ship to ship while in space:
- In the Task Group window, there is a button "Equalise Maint". That evenly distributes all MSP in a TG.
- In the Individual Unit window, there is a section for transferring MSP to or from a ship.
