Geological Survey Sensors is a component, which allows a ship to survey system bodies for mineral deposits. Geological Survey Sensors produce SB Survey Points. Basic version provides 1 survey point per hour, better variants can be accessed through research. They count as civilian components.
Usage
To complete a geological survey of a system body (planet, moon, asteroid, comet), a survey ship needs to accumulate a certain number of survey points. These are automatically accumulated when in orbit around a system body. Default orders for 'Survey nearest body' can be used to automate survey.
