Mineral Shortages

From AuroraWiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

If you constantly get the message that there was a shortage of minerals during production, you obviously produce less than you use. The solution is to increase mining and/or transport capabilities, but that takes time.

To build the things you need the most in times of shortages, you can prioritize production orders. Go to the Shipyards Tasks. Select a project, then click "Higher Priority" or "Lower Priority". You see how the project's priority value changes in the rightmost column. High priority projects receive minerals first.

You can also stop entire industries from producing, thereby saving more minerals for other uses. In the right half of the "Civilian / Ind. Status" window you can shut down or restart industries. Note that restarting production takes six months, so be careful.

Shutting down industries also frees their workforce for other tasks.
