The solar disaster rule is for a purely player driven game, the NPRs do not take this setting into account.

You can set it it from the game setup screen.

Once set it will affect your home system causing the sun to warm/cool at X% per year.

This setting is used for RP purpose, encouraging the player to get out of the system before the inevitable end. It takes around ??? years for a warming sun to reach a point at which it starts affecting habitability Earth, Mars will last longer. You can invest resources to hold it off for a fair while, using anti-greenhouse gas, but it will eventually overwhelm that. Better start looking for other colonizable worlds nearby and buildin a hell of an ark.

The solar disaster rule is for a purely player driven game, the NPRs do not take this setting into account.
